What’s the Problem?
The moment after a merchant sends an invoice to a customer is a blackbox. They have no idea if the customer received the invoice, or if the email containing it was ever opened.
This creates a problem for merchants, because receiving an invoice is often the first step that a customer must go through before paying it.
However, some merchants are waiting for days wondering when they’ll get paid, when often the customer hasn’t even opened the email to begin with.
The Solution: Read Receipts
Read receipts is a solution to this problem. It’s a simple but powerful feature that gives merchants greater visibility into what’s happening after an invoice has been sent.
Super takes a two-tiered tick system approach:
One tick - the customer received the invoice
Two ticks - the customer opened the invoice
This is crucial information that can often be the difference between a merchant getting, or not getting paid. For example, If a customer has received an invoice, but hasn’t yet opened it, this is a hint that a merchant may need to nudge the customer with a payment reminder.
Super is the first and only billing platform that gives merchants this information. We’re excited to keep innovating in new ways to make sure merchants are getting paid.
Summary
The post-invoice experience has always been a blackbox for merchants. Super is excited to shine a light on that process with an innovative new feature: read receipts.
